About Us
The purpose of this organization is to provide students and the broader San Jose community with opportunities to learn and do Lindy Hop and other related Swing dances (e.g. Collegiate Shag, Balboa, Blues idioms, Swing Line Dances, Vernacular Solo Jazz, West Coast Swing). This mission will be accomplished mainly by offering students both classes and dance parties; students will also be provided resources to other Swing venues and events across the Bay Area. Given enough financial resources, this organization will invite professional Swing dancers to give workshops to members. This organization will also, provided time on part of the membership, host performances for interested parties. This organization hopes to cultivate a warm, inclusive community of students passionate or curious about Swing dancing and culture.
